Tampa Case Will Use FISA Intel

US Government has notified the federal court in Tampa they intend to use evidence authorized by a secret intelligence court under the Foreign Counterintelligence Act (FISA). Defendant Sam Osmakac is a Pinellas Park, Florida man accused of plotting terrorist attacks in the Tampa area. FISA courts were established in 1978, and were inspired by the recommendations of the Church Committee. Since 1978, no Federal Judge has ever granted a motion to exclude FISA evidence.
