Tampa Case Will Use FISA Intel (02/18/2012) US Government has notified the federal court in Tampa they intend to use evidence authorized by a secret intelligence court under the Foreign Counterintelligence Act (FISA). Defendant Sam Osmakac is a Pinellas Park, Florida man accused of plotting terrorist attacks in the Tampa area. FISA courts were established in 1978, and were inspired by the recommendations of the Church Committee.
